Pete was a much‑loved husband, dad, friend and musician, known for his humour, warmth and unmistakable character. Music was at the heart of his life, shaping his world and bringing people together, whether through playing, performing or sharing his latest favourite song.

He lived life in his own way — thoughtful, passionate, sometimes grumpy, but always deeply loving.

He found joy in the simple things, in people, and in the place he called home.

Pete will be greatly missed, but remembered with laughter, love and the many stories he leaves behind.

Pete, you once saw a picture I had drawn about God, and His love, and you told me how much God would have loved me doing that. That was over 35 years ago, and I still remember how I felt when you said that to me. You said it with your usual kindness and gentleness. It meant a lot to me then and it means a lot to me now. Rest in peace now, and rise in glory. I will see you soon. Xxx

Today would have been your 76th birthday. You were always impressed that you passed your dad’s age. I remember many of your your big birthdays , your 50th , (I’ve now passed this milestone!) , your 60th and your 70th during lockdown where everyone recorded a video for you. I miss you loads already. Who will I talk nonsense with now ? X love you always x
